Lester McCumbers, great West Virginia fiddler passes

I have a few personal reminiscences of Lester, who was the first West Virginian to win first place in the fiddle contest at the Appalachian String Festival at Clifftop. I attended a master's workshop that he did later at Clifftop with banjo player, Kim Johnson. In fact, Kim broke a string and finished the workshop using my banjo. A few years later, I was playing with Jake Krack, whom Lester mentored, and Lester sat down and played tunes with us. Erynn Marshall is another contemporary old-time fiddler influenced by Lester.
